Business Development Manager

At our client's company, all of their 500 employees make a difference through the delivery a range of important scientific services that positively impact the communities that they serve.

Our client now has an exciting opportunity to contribute to their continuing success by:
  • providing key input into the strategic development of the business.
  • identifying and developing new business opportunities in the UK and internationally.
  • working with our MD and commercial team to drive profitable growth of our existing business.

Business Development Manager Requirements:

You will ideally have a strong scientific background and you must have proven, relevant business development skills. You will be creative and innovative in identifying potential business opportunities that align with the Company objectives, and experience of developing potential leads to help deliver the Company’s financial plans. Please note that this role will include homeworking.

We are looking for an excellent communicator with strong sales and business development expertise. You must be able to develop strong relationships with our client's existing and potential customers and be able to work collaboratively across their organisation. They are looking for someone with energy, tenacity and a determination to success who is a self-starter. You must be able to work independently and have a hands-on and flexible attitude.

Due to nature of the work they undertake, all applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the past three years and will be required to obtain security clearance which we will arrange.

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Competitive - dependent on experience
