Business Development Manager

Our client has built an excellent reputation for providing quality fleet services since its formation in 2005. The company is dedicated to exceeding the expectations of its existing and prospective customers by engineering innovative and bespoke solutions for every requirement. They currently have a network of 15 workshops throughout the UK maintaining over 5000 vehicles providing routine maintenance and body repairs and supply tyre solutions to over 5% of the UK truck market & a spot hire fleet of over 600 specialist vehicles. Their people are passionate at what they do and are committed to providing exceptional customer service.

Their fleet management business specialise in providing high quality specialist vehicles to a wide range of Private and Public sector organisations ranging from 7.5t to 44 t and are the only UK rental company who can supply Electric Commercial vehicles.

Their large fleet includes a range of waste handling and utility trucks, commercial vehicles, and plant machinery. As a result of increasing demand, they are expanding their UK sales operation and seek an additional Business Development Manager to further strengthen their presence across the North East Region.

Position: Business Development Manager
Location: The successful candidate should be located in a central location in order to cover a geographical area from Derbyshire to Tyneside
Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

- Develop new business opportunities and enhance existing customer relationships
- Develop relationships within the Local Authority and Private sectors
- Accurately maintain CRM and deliver growth targets as set by the UK Sales Director
- Submit and follow up quotations to new and potential customers
- Manage both customer expectations and the relationship with the customer from lead to implementation.
- Identify and support bid & tender management for larger opportunities

- A proven, high level Business Development Manager with a track record of success looking to develop their career with a profitable group of companies who are able to offer potential career opportunities
- Team player, with a can do attitude
- Knowledge of Commercial Specialist Fleets, Waste or Hire markets is essential
- Commercially astute and consultative approach to new business development
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Influencing skills and experience of working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivated, ambitious, entrepreneurial, with excellent team player skills
- A passion and drive to succeed with a bias towards New Business Development
