Working for the new in post Head of Sales, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for the South East England territory (ex London). They will be a traditional hunter, going out and winning business through creative, determined and skilled pitches.

Client Details

Our client is headquartered out of the north. They have 6 territories throughout the UK each handed by a Business Development Manager. This is a new strategy for them and has already proved successful in the short time it has been active.


As Business Development Manager you will have the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and prepare detailed account development plans, engagement strategies and targets for each of the prospects within a Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Middlesex and Hampshire territory.
  • Pro-actively identify and close new business.
  • Consistently achieve sales targets.
  • Present a professional image to your customer base.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships at an executive level within a portfolio of prospects.
  • Provide customers with bespoke solution-based proposal, contracts and commercial information.
  • This role will be home based with occasional monthly travel to head office.


  • Proven track record of success within business development.
  • B2B sales background.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • A confident, positive and determined approach.
  • Self-motivated and driven by results, combined with a competitive streak.
  • Valid UK driving licence.

Job Offer

A base salary of £30,000 to £40,000 based on experience, plus a bonus and benefits package.
