Client Details

My client is an exciting energy tech start-up, who are experiencing extensive growth across the business. They are backed by world-class venture capital investors which has enabled them to create a great place to work, with a fast moving, collaborative culture. Due to this tremendous growth they are looking to add to their team in the Southampton territory.


The key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager includes:

  • Identify a pipeline of customers in the territory

  • Contact these customers and secure in-person appointments on a daily basis

  • Successfully pitch the joint-value of a partnership with the business

  • Account management and nurturing the ongoing relationship with the customers to ensure longevity of the partnership

  • Commitment to collaboration with the wider team, sharing of learning's and a drive for continuous improvement


The successful Business Development Manager will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in sales

  • A track record of building relationships from scratch

  • A proven track record of sales success over a sustained period of time

  • Exposure to and evidence of having learned from sales best practices

  • Evidence of quickly learning the nuances of a new industry

Job Offer

£25,000 to £35,000 basic salary + Uncapped OTE + Car allowance + other strong benefits
