High value opportunities
Your focus will be on developing and closing major new sales opportunities. These will be projects worth upwards of £500k, primarily within IT, security, and logistics. It is a senior management role, so you will have plenty of freedom to work on your own and to shape and develop strategy in the way you know will work best. You will be working closely with directors across the organisation, as well as with key figures in marketing and within your own team.
Influence key figures across our business and beyond
As an experienced business development professional, you will have a solid understanding of strategic marketing and sales planning, as well as the various finance processes that underpin any successful business. You will also have the confidence and candid approach needed to influence senior managers, executives and stakeholders.
A good knowledge of government departments would be extremely useful. For example, you may have been part of a commercial organisation that works on large public sector contracts. You will also need to be highly motivated, self-disciplined and articulate, with a proven track record of building relationships at all levels and take your career somewhere new.
