Our client is a large organisation in business services, my client is well known both in the UK and International markets with a large account portfolio across several different industries. They really invest in their staff and have a family run ethos which is at the core of the business.
As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for both existing and new business through a consultative and solution based sales approach in a specific region.
You will manage a small portfolio existing client relationships and become an expert at cultivating relationships with key decision makers to maximise the value delivered by my clients services
The role will require a strategic approach, ensuring that client relationship maps are produced for all key accounts. The role is heavily focused on customer care with you being the main point of contacts for your key accounts ensuring regular reviews and growth opportunities.
It will also be your responsibility to penetrate new accounts in your region, networking with existing contacts and building up your presence in the market.
Supplementing your core role, you will participate in a developmental program which offers world-class training, equipping you with the business, analytic and leadership skills needed to be successful. You'll work with a wide variety of clients across numerous sectors, developing a strong network.
The background and experience of the Business Development Manager - will ideally have the following:
*Proven ability to contact, qualify, develop and close leads by phone, chat, and email.
*Hunter mentality- Knows how to create opportunities, and close deals.
*Must be Systematic, persistent and efficient when managing time.
*Ability to hunt, and close out new business opportunities - this is not an account management position.
*Ability to carry a quota and have the mind set to overachieve month over month.
*Excellent verbal and written communication and sales skills.
*Desire and ability to provide an outstanding customer experience.
*Proficient with MS Office and Salesforce.
