An innovative, privately owned, growing business is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the promotion of some of its product lines into the worlds of coffee and food production.

The business has innovated a unique product (successful patent) that offers tangible improvements and benefits to coffee houses and food producers.

The role will be tasked with building on the success of the products so far, championing their sales and development into other organisations across those sectors, initially in the UK but then also into Europe.

The technology is surprisingly simple. As result this isn’t a particularly technical sell, but it will be suited to individuals who have an interest and passion for coffee and food.

Targeting a range of businesses through to large producers to independent manufacturers and retailers, the role will require an approach that will direct sell to open doors whilst also seeking out and attending relevant expo’s and networking events across the sectors. Track record will be there to demonstrate, as will existing business/accounts that will need to be grown and developed.

To apply to the role you should be a confident and committed team player who wants to be part of an ambitious, growing, small business. You will ideally have some experience of selling to food manufacturers, retailers, baker and coffee houses. Without this sector experience, applicants will be considered but only if there is a clear demonstration of a passion for and understanding of the target sectors. Ideally you will be educated to degree level or equivalent (preferred but not essential) and you must be able to demonstrate a consistent track record of delivering to commercial goals and over achieving targets in B2B sales.
