Business Development Manager – £45-50K – Leeds

The Role

This innovative, market leading business is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to provide support to the business across 3 national locations (London, Rainham and Leeds). Reporting into the Sales Team Leader, the incoming Business Development Manager will be responsible both for developing new business and managing current accounts.

If you are an excellent communicator who has a proven track record in strategic account management and the ability to build lasting client relationships, this is the perfect opportunity to join a market leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong business pipeline and smash sales targets
  • Lead the sales process including lead generation
  • Develop and maintain lasting client relationships with each client
  • Ensure that the company becomes the partner of choice for these strategic accounts

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Manager:

  • Proven track record in strategic account management in a direct customer facing role
  • Ability to identify and build strong key relationships at all levels
  • Ability to work with little supervision to meet targets and objectives
  • High level of numeracy and literacy
  • Experience of consultative selling to Blue Chip companies
  • Must be from the office furniture/office interiors industry with a track record of sales more than £1m
