Business Development Manager - Cloud and Unified Communications, Connectivity, Data Solutions and Services.

JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager - Cloud and Unified Communications, Connectivity, Data Services.

LOCATION: Midlands and West patch: Birmingham, Redditch, Stratford Upon Avon, Worcester, Hereford, Cheltenham.

PACKAGE: £25-35k basic, £50-70k OTE uncapped. + £5k car allowance and expenses.


10-50 years

Turnover: £1-10m

Core offering: IT, telecoms, cloud and unified communications solutions

Selling solutions and services around a business' data and connectivity needs. Some of the reasons this is becoming increasingly essential are:

  1. The amount of data we consume.
  2. The growing amount of communication methods and forms of data access used.
  3. The growing costs of not having a unified communication and data network due to the 1 and 2.
  4. Moving the cost of infrastructure to a more effective method; Operation Expenditure (Op Ex) or hybrid versus a large capital outlay.
  5. Less need for technical expertise in-house.

The overall benefit is a more streamlined, efficient and cost-effective data and communications network, enabling;

  • Better productivity

  • There is full training and 'on-boarding' with the role.
  • At least 12 months experience in a B2B Sales role.
  • Experience working in competitive or saturated markets is desirable.
  • Any experience around IT or telecoms is an advantage, but not a necessity.
  • Ability to take any knock backs and use these as learning experiences.
  • A driven problem-solver who can discuss customers aims and objectives and take them on a journey of change to achieving them and more, rather than selling against a product list.
  • Energetic, positive, team player - someone who will thrive in a vibrant and inclusive culture where success is celebrated and rewarded.
  • Have a laugh; culture is key here and the team take a down-to-earth approach to the day.


As the Business Development Manager, your role will be to work alongside the sales manager to close both inbound and self-generated leads. You receive all of the sales support that you would expect from a well-established leader in the space. This will not be a 'phonebook bashing' cold calling role.

You will have the benefit of leading industry expertise nurturing your progression in the industry, helping you not only to open doors, but to develop as a professional.
