DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Volkswagen (VW) have joined forces to establish the Industrial Cloud (IC), an open platform, community and marketplace of cloud-based solutions to accelerate production, logistics and supply chain management into the digital age. The Industrial Cloud supports a diverse community of parts suppliers, technology providers, system integrators, independent software vendors (ISVs), logistics providers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). We aim to reduce the barrier of entry for adopting new technologies, lower the cost of innovation, and enable the rapid deployment of new solutions in the manufacturing domain, for all community members. We are seeking a talented individual for the role of IC Business Development Leader, to focus on driving future business with prospective customers, build trial programs, and capture Voice of The Customer (VoC) feedback and requirements. The role will also work with our partner teams to assist with partner recruitment and use case identification. The Industrial Cloud offers a common and open architecture that connects production to the cloud and standardizes the sharing and exchange of data to enable the development of new digital solutions for production, logistics and supply chain management. As IC Business Development Leader you will deliver on our IC strategy to shape the Consumer and Contributor on-boarding strategy as well as build mind share and adoption of IC Applications and Solutions with AWS customers and strategic business partners. You will also have an active and leading role in helping to shape the IC Marketplace strategy, including future pricing and revenue models. The ideal candidate has both a business background that enables them engage at the CXO level, and track record of success in business development roles that enables them to easily interact with enterprise customers. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions both internally and externally.

Roles and Responsibilities:
· Define a holistic view of the IC consumer and contributor partner ecosystem including partner categories and their respective roles across OEM’s, suppliers, software vendors and Global Systems Integrators.
· Recruit, educate and on-board IC consumers and contributors and build scaling mechanisms for continuous IC Marketplace development.
· Work with the AWS partner team to recruit new partners, identify recruitment gaps, and on-board
· Advise IC consumers, contributors and (AWS) commercial sales teams on the value of IC to accelerate successful outcomes including recommending partner solutions to support IC consumers
· Drive new trials of IC solutions with consumers as they become available
· Own overall IC contract strategies with both customers and partners including working with the AWS partner team on leveraging existing AWS partner funding programs.
· Develop pricing and revenue sharing models for the IC Marketplace.
· Build and maintain a roadmap of new consumers and contributors for the IC Marketplace including partners that will develop Minimum Viable Products (MVP).
· Drive new consumer and contributor engagements to grow the overall IC platform with a focus on business outcomes.
· Become a trusted member of the IC leadership team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· The right person will possess 10+ years of direct sales or business development experience including experience working across ISVs, Global Systems Integrators and Consulting Companies with a track record of navigating complex engagement models.
· 5+ years prior business development experience leading online marketplaces
· Experience working with partners across the industrial ecosystems such as OEM’s and Software Vendors.
· Experience in in working with leaders across sales, product and program management and business development.
· Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives and strong familiarity in identifying decision making processes.
· Ability to craft new build models supported by partner related engagement models
· Strong sales experience with a desire to coordinate field teams to develop and close high-profile deals
· Experience presenting and articulating complex concepts
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in English
· Strong track record in working with multiple stakeholders including direct and channel, product management and sales teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Consistently exceeds key performance metrics
· Prior experience working with Systems Integrators and Consulting Companies to achieve sales.
· Experience working within the enterprise software industry is highly desired.
· Experience working with automotive and industrial manufacturers and software vendors
· Experience working with Tier I-III automotive suppliers
· Experience working with automotive OEM’s
