BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE – FOODSERVICE

£24,000 - £26,500 + UNCAPPED BONUS + CAR + MOBILE + LAPTOP + PENSION + 20 DAYS HOLS + BHs

My client is a regional family owned business specialising in chilled, ambient, frozen and non-food products based in the North of England. The role we are recruiting for is a Business Development Executive to take control of an area of North Yorkshire (predominantly BD postcodes). The business ethos is second to none and they pride themselves on the attention to detail they adhere to in terms of how they operate with their internal and external customers. The training and development provided by the company is also extremely attractive.

The Role

  • 50% of your role will be prospecting for new business
  • 50% of your role will be maintaining, growing and developing existing accounts
  • Building and maintaining a steady growth of new customers
  • Working closely to a budget as set by the Sales Manager
  • Close working relationships with suppliers
  • Close working with relationships with the Telesales Department
  • Working towards team and individual incentives
  • Negotiating with customers and suppliers to achieve the best price for both the company and the customer

The Candidate

  • You will ideally come with an FMCG Foodservice Sales background
  • You could be a Chef looking for the transition into Food Sales
  • You could be a successful Business Developer/Field Sales Rep looking for a career within Foodservice Sales
  • YOU MUST HAVE A PASSION FOR FOOD
  • You must be a ‘hunter’ by nature
  • You must have good values, a solid belief in excellent customer service at all times and the want to work within a family orientated business
  • You will be dynamic, ambitious, driven and hungry for success
  • You will be articulate, credible, polished and well presented
  • Proven experience of developing and increasing business
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan workloads in order to ensure both internal and external demands are met
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • You must live on patch – within The Dales, BD postcode
