The role:

The organisation is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team in London.

This role will be working in the Sales team and reporting into the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer with a dotted line to the Head of Partnerships, who will be providing guidance and support, whilst allowing you to grow professionally.

You will gain new clients specifically in the SME sector through referrals and your own prospecting as well as via partner introducers.

You will be office based, self-motivation and drive as well as impeccable time planning are vital in becoming successful in the role

  • Systems literacy knowledge in MS office, Excel, Word and Internet

  • Minimum 1 year's Sales experience gained in a structured sales environment.
  • Direct SME business development experience
  • Experience developing new business opportunities, capitalising on qualified leads and marketing campaigns as well as building and managing a prospect pipeline
  • Ability to create and close opportunities over the telephone
  • You have prospected, pitched and close opportunities to SME prospects
  • Have maintained regular contact with current prospects in a controlled and logical manner through the management of the prospect database
  • Worked pro-actively with the internal marketing and external business development teams to target specific companies and industry sectors to generate new business appointments.
  • Contacted prospects through networking and cold calling to self-generate prospects daily
  • Maintained accurate and timely records of all prospect/client activity utilising the CRM
  • Achieved individual key performance Indicators as required
  • Ability to occasionally support the external Business development team with appointment booking
