Key Responsibilities

This role assists the Business Development Team in the delivery of the agreed sales annual targets and the company's Five Year Plan and supports the Business Development strategy to develop adviser relationships on behalf of the company. The employee will be responsible and accountable for all tasks, in particular:

  • Support the Business Development Team to ensure that all sales opportunities are followed up and clients are provided with relevant and timely information.
  • As agreed, establish and maintain appropriate level network of contacts within key accounts to ensure effective communications, ensuring the needs of the account are given appropriate representation in terms of products, service, support and systems.
  • Maintain the standard due diligence question bank. Complete any due diligence requests from advisers.
  • Help with the organisation of sales events, selecting venues, tracking invitations and logistics.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are implemented consistently across all client communications (and internal documents) to improve the client experience.
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge on what is driving the macro views, the investments held in portfolios and the investment processes.
  • Ensure all activity is in accordance with the Group's requirements and regulatory duties, including that customers are treated fairly in line with company policies.

  • A credible ambassador for both the business and the Business Development and Marketing team, able to demonstrate sound investment knowledge and industry points of view at external events and meetings.
  • Demonstrate positive personal impact qualities such as leadership, influencing, credibility and empathy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build new business and establish and maintain successful client relationships.
  • Strong customer focused approach, able to provide solutions to clients; develop rusting and credible partnerships with clients, both face to face and/or via the telephone.
  • Achievement driven, with proven experience in all areas of the new business lifecycle including formulating and writing proposals, preparing and delivering client pitches and subsequent client negotiations.
  • Sound commercial and business awareness.
  • An aptitude for working with people both internal and external of the organisation. A team player who supports colleagues and shares knowledge to the benefit of the team and/or wider Company.
  • Highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
  • A high degree of professional integrity. With the ability to operate within a compliant framework and adhere to corporate and regulatory quality standards.
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure.
  • Professional, flexible and pro-active manner; able to handle change within work, coupled with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work, in particular taking responsibility for personal and technical continuous professional development.
  • Sound decision making skills, safeguarding the interests of both client and Company.
  • Understanding of GDPR and MiFiD II
  • Experience managing budgets and purchase order systems.
  • Experience dealing with senior managers.
