Job description

We need:
• Business Development Advisers to work in our Bournemouth Office
• £19,647 - £28,379 (dependent on current banding and experience)
• Permanent Contract, on a full-time 35 hour week, working between 9am – 6pm Monday to Friday

Intermediary Relationships is the support function for Intermediaries for both Nationwide and The Mortgage Works. Within this role, you’ll provide telephone, webchat or email support to our Intermediaries and Business Development Managers on products, criteria and pre-application queries for both brands.

Who we're looking for

As a minimum you’ll have;
• A natural ability to speak with intermediaries, being confident and enthusiastic in always delivering the best service
• Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to explain back to intermediaries, making it easy, quick and simple
• Experience of handling inbound queries from multiple intermediaries
• The ability to problem solve and deal with several tasks and processes at any one time
• A good understanding of mortgages and a working knowledge of products and criteria
• Great PC skills and the ability to work across multiple systems
• An eye for detail and a focus on accuracy
• A positive attitude to work and be a flexible team player
• The ability to proactively manage your own time and organise your work effectively

Ideally you may have;
• CeMAP qualification (or be studying for)
• Contact Centre experience
• Financial Services Experience

What you'll be doing

As a Business Development Adviser you’ll be delivering excellent customer service by ensuring the needs of our intermediaries are met – and we’ll ensure you have full training to deliver such a legendary service. In our Business Development Adviser team we typically deal with upwards of 2000 queries every day.
This means that daily you’ll;
• Be the first point of contact for our intermediaries and Business Development Managers, who’ll be relying upon you to provide accurate and relevant information to answer their queries and get it right first time
• Build relationships with our intermediaries and help them to place business with the Society, enabling the division to consistently exceed expectations
• Develop and maintain product, criteria, process, regulatory and system knowledge
• Be committed to a continuous improvement culture and actively seek to improve our processes on an on-going basis
• Focus on excellent time management together with the ability to multi-task to optimise your team’s productivity
