To help with the ongoing growth of the Workplace business, we are seeking a world-class business analyst who is passionate about Workplace by Facebook and the role that a connected workforce can play in improving the productivity of an organisation.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team and provide analytic strength to an exciting, emerging business within Facebook. The role will be part of the Workplace Operations team, and will entail driving analytics to inform sales strategy, understand business performance, improve efficiency through automation and enable senior leadership to make effective, data-driven operating decisions. The Business Analyst will partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Business Intelligence and Sales, to design and deliver analytically driven insights and solutions.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about Facebook, has a strong analytical and consultative mindset, and a deep understanding of databases and data visualization. Coupled with this, they will have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment delivering against tight deadlines, and a passion for scaling operations through automation.
Conduct analysis using internal and external data (e.g. customer, user, revenue, product, market, industry) to derive insights that will drive business decisions
Understand SaaS Industry trends, and develop in-depth analyses and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights, enabling sales leaders to drive growth of Workplace business.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams globally, assimilating requirements, driving results in the form of data insights and building strategic partnerships
Analyse regional, channel and vertical performance, identifying levers for driving revenue and user growth, and presenting recommendations in either visual or written format
Conduct deep dives and mine massive amounts of data to extract meaningful insights for the sales and marketing teams
Support the Workplace Team with setting goals/KPIs and with key planning efforts as needed
Focus on process and continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement
Conceptualise and build centralised tools (including dashboards) that the Workplace team can use to extract data / insights for daily business management in an automated manner
Drive operational excellence through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, or other quantitative fields or deep commensurate professional experience
Exceptional analytical skills, with experience solving ambiguous problems using data and providing practical business insights
Sound understanding of sales cycle and business metrics (conversion, MRR, churn), with experience in tracking and reporting them
Strong SQL and advanced Excel skills
Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Micro Strategy, etc.
Prior experience in data analytics and statistical programming languages such as R, Python, etc.
A proactive “can-do” attitude, with the ability to work autonomously, managing, prioritising and delivering multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to relay technical content to general audiences
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in presenting analytical insights in visual form
Experience working with sales, marketing and/ or sales operations team
Ability to communicate, engage and influence a range of cross functional and senior colleagues
