Barclays Business Manager

As a Barclays Business Manager you’ll be required to effectively manage, develop and grow a portfolio of approximately 100 customers each with a turnover of between £1m and £5m and having debt requirements of less than £1m, through excellent customer service and deepening relationships. In some cases we will see a cluster of clients in similar industries in the portfolio. You will also proactively maximise all opportunities within your local market, to attract and retain new customers to the bank.

As a Barclays Business Manager, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Demonstrating that you are devoted to our customer’s success, continually deliver performance that reflects Barclays vision become the ‘go-to’ bank
• Understand, explore and meet customer needs in a compliant manner, demonstrating Treating Customer Fairly (TCF) principles at all times
• Taking personal accountability and responsibility for your own development in order that you can be the best you can be
• Actively share your skills and knowledge with your peers and colleagues
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards

As a Barclays Business Manager, your skills and qualifications will include:
• Strong knowledge of income drivers
• Sound knowledge of policies and procedures across the Group relevant to Barclays business market
• Up to date knowledge of Barclays Business competition
• Understanding of the impact of economic environment on customer’s needs and business
• Good knowledge of mandatory Risk policies and procedures relating to credit conformance and regulatory, operational and legal risk
