Job Advert :
Join us and you’ll be part of a £1.6 billion business. One that operates in over 75 countries and employs over 15,000 people worldwide. As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the action in one of our many stores. With your help, we can reinforce our reputation as one of the UK’s iconic brands.
As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll help fulfil the full service proposition – and be essential to your store’s success. You take care of a whole range of tasks, from tracking store sales and checking stockroom standards, to briefing and coaching the team. You’re always there when the store gets busy, ensuring the shop floor runs smoothly and showing the team how great selling is done. In fact, you’ll be indispensable to the manager and ready to deputise when they’re away. You’ve got the skills and confidence to sign off changes to visual merchandising, and ensure Health & Safety and security guidelines are observed. Plus, you’re a great brand ambassador who really knows how to champion Clarks. With your in-depth knowledge of our products, as well as the competition, you can maximise sales, uphold standards and give customers an outstanding experience. In short, you’re equipped for the end-to-end sales cycle.
Ideally, you’ll have worked in a similar role before. That means you’ll know how to encourage and motivate others, so they always go above and beyond. You’ll also be good with people and fantastic in a team. If you’re also keen on footwear and fashion, and ready to pick up our systems, there’s an exciting career ahead with a business that values talent.
Life with us
Every 60 seconds, 105 pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.6 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 15,000 employees across 75 different countries – everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s biggest everyday footwear brand (by sale volume), we’re still owned by the Clarks family and based in Street, Somerset – where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.
As well as a rewarding career, development opportunities and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a generous holiday allowance and the opportunity to join the company pension scheme.
We love hearing from great people
