Area Sales Manager – Windows & Doors

Title: Business Development Manager – Windows & Doors

Industry Sector: Window Installers, Window Fitters, Small Builders, Private Developers, Trade Counter, Composite and PVCu Panel Doors, PVCu Windows, Conservatories, and PVC Fabricators

Area to be covered: Scotland – ideally based central belt

Remuneration: £35,000-£40,000 + £10,000 uncapped commission

Benefits: Car allowance + full benefits package

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Windows & Doors will involve:

·         Field sales position, selling a range of bespoke windows and doors (80% group own products and 20% alternative suppliers)

·         Selling into window installers and small builders (1-2 man operations/ 5-10 frames per week)

·         Working closely with 14 Branches and the Scotland Area Manager, who is responsible for the operational side of the territory (branches will do all quotes and ultimately look after your customers once won)

·         40% of your time new business prospecting with new regular window installers (loads of good data/ and leads available)

·         Tasked with achieving £50,000 of new customer revenue per month

·         60% account managing circa 80 class A existing customers on the area

·         Building strong strategic relationships that maximise customer retention and deliver profitable sales growth through wallet share/ up/ cross selling

·         Approx. 4 days a week face to face selling (often this can take place in one of the branches) and 1 day on the phone appointment setting

·         Contributing towards an overall territory budget of £3m+

 

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Windows & Doors with:

·         A proven track record in field sales within the windows & doors industry

·         Knowledge of the area and ideally with customer contacts

·         New business development and excellent account management capability

·         Comfortable working in a team dynamic, but with the ability to be self motivated and autonomous

·         Minimum 5 years field sales experience either within a manufacturer or a distributor

·         Strong data analysis and action planning

·         Positive, can-do attitude
