Area Sales Manager – Timber Frame

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Timber Frame

Industry Sector:  Timber frame solutions, housebuilders, architects, building contractors, cladding, external facades, structural envelope, building envelope, modern methods of construction, MMC or any off-site construction

Area to be covered: Wales

Remuneration: £30,000-£40,000 (£68,000-£75,000 OTE)

Benefits: Car & benefits package

The role of the Area Sales Manager Timber Frame Systems will involve:

  • Technical field sales role promoting the design, manufacture and erection of timber frame systems
  • Selling predominantly into regional housebuilders and private developers, but also national housebuilders, architects and building contractors
  • Raising the company profile in the profile of timber frame in the Welsh region through relevant and targeted networking
  • 1st 6 months building up a project bank with a view to opening up production capability in Wales
  • Projects typically around £200,000, but can be £1m+
  • Achieving our client’s current win ratio of 1:7
  • New business development position, although warm leads will be provided by head office
  • Responsible for generating and managing company leads and closing sales
  • Revenue target between £3m-£4m

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Timber Frame Systems with:

·       Proven field sales track record within the timber frame market

·       Must have covered Wales

·       Experience of having sold into the housebuilder/ private developer marketplace

·       Highly motivated and pro-active

·       Autonomous

·       Ability to raise the profile of our clients brand and expand their customer base in Wales

·       Strategic thinker, ability to launch English manufactured timber frame systems prior to assisting in the opening of a Welsh based production facility

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Hard working,
