Job Title: Technical Sales Representative – Shoring & Support Systems

Area to be covered: NG, DE, LE   

Remuneration: £30,000 - £40,000neg (depending on experience) + £10,000- £15,000 uncapped commission

The role of the Technical Sales Representative – Shoring & Support Systems will involve:

·         Field sales position, predominantly responsible for hire and sales of bespoke engineered excavation support systems including shoring solutions, bracing struts, ancillaries, piles, trench sheets, box systems, bracing systems, concrete pipe equipment, tools and accessories

·         All of your time will be spent selling via groundwork contractors, civil contractors, civil engineers, utilities contractors, rail contractors, sub-contractors

·         Dealing with order values typically ranging from £400 per week to £10-12k per week with larger contractors

·         Inheriting a territory budgeted to turnover £1.2m  

·         Predominantly dealing with existing customers on a project by project basis utilising the exceptional design and engineering services of the company

·         Working closely with regional engineers, regional support staff and line manager

The ideal applicant will be a Technical Sales Representative – Shoring & Support Systems with:

·         Must have a proven track record in construction field sales selling a technical product

·         Ideally have experience selling to groundwork contractors, civil contractors, civil engineers, utilities contractors, rail contractors and sub-contractors

·         Ideally have experience selling products such as: shoring solutions, bracing struts, ancillaries, piles, trench sheets, box systems, bracing systems, concrete pipe equipment, tools and accessories, excavation support systems, formwork, falsework, geotechnical and heavyside civil engineering systems

·         Would consider somebody from other technical product backgrounds

·         Technically minded and able to understand drawings and deal with technical issues

·         On site experience and comfortable dealing with engineering teams and technical points of contact

·         Comfortable working as part of a team and assisting over colleagues with sales 

·         Strong work ethic ‘roll your sleeves up’ mentality

·         Keenness to learn companies products and systems

·         Enthusiastic, hungry and ambitious
