Area Sales Manager – Internal Doors

Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Internal Doors

Industry Sector: Timber Doors, Internal Doors, Timber Windows, Timber Partitions, Internal Timber Building Products, Joinery Products,  Developers, Housebuilders, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, Architects, Interior Designers, Merchants, National Merchants, Timber Merchants, Independent Merchants

Area to be covered: South West & South Wales               

Remuneration: £35,000 - £37,500 + 25% bonus

Benefits: Company car & full comprehensive benefits

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Internal Doors will involve:

·         Field sales position selling a comprehensive range of high quality internal, fire, acoustic, security and wardrobe doors and frames

·         50% of your time will be spent generating specification and selling directly to architects, large house builders, internal door specialist, joiners, developers and contractors

·         The remaining portion of your time will be stimulating demand and back selling through the merchant channels for example Arnold Laver

·         Taking over a territory currently turning over circa £3m

·         Will inherit circa 20-25 major accounts

·         Dealing with large order values typically ranging from £100k - £500k+ for a project

·         Working on both new build and refurb projects typically for high end apartments, residential and hotels

·         Mix of managing and expanding existing relationships / partners alongside generating of new business  

The ideal applicant will be a Area Sales Manager –   Internal Doors with:

·         Must have experience in construction field sales selling internal building products ideally with associated timber products such as: doors, internal doors partitions, windows or joinery products or associated products

·         Would consider somebody working for a merchants looking to get into field sales

·         Ideally have a demonstrable track record of selling to developers, architects, designers, housebuilders, man & sub-contractors or merchants

·         Capable of managing and expanding relationships with large developers and contractors

·         Looking for a long term career opportunity within a growing business

·         Capable of dealing with projects from conception to completion including tender process, quotations and liaising with internal support

·         Driven, enthusiastic team player

·         Organised with strong account management skills
