The role as Area Sales Manager will be to cover the North West supplying the food, construction, pharmaceutical, health care and catering industries as well as public bodies such as Local Councils and Education Boards. Selling latest, most durable and affordable PPE products. The Area Sales Manager will have a portfolio to pick and build relationships with as well as hunting for new business. Promoting additional spend with current accounts is as key as winning new business.

Client Details

My client is a fast growing business established in the last 15 years who now operate from an 25000 sq ft warehouse and have depot's in Ireland and the UK. Due to high product demand they are looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover the North West.

Description

They key responsibilities will be:

  • Account manage and grow your portfolio, promoting additional spend.

  • Generate leads, act on leads and meet clients face to face to pitch to win new business.

  • Develop an in depth understanding of customer needs and provide competitive solutions.

  • Liaise closely with the sales coordinator for them to deal with quotes ect.

  • Negotiate prices in order to ensure that the best possible price is achieved.

  • Maintain proactive contact with prospective customers to build relationships and improve the prospects of further additional sales.

  • Conduct research and maintain detailed knowledge of customer base to generate sufficient quality leads.

  • Attend training in Northern Ireland 4 times a year.

Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Must have at least 2 years B2B field sales experience with a proven track record.

  • PPE, work-wear, Hygiene or Site safety background ideal but not essential.

  • Business service background could suit.

  • A proven track record of winning new business and growing accounts.

  • Must be self motivated and demonstrate the desire and determination to succeed.

  • Must possess strong negotiating skills.

  • Requires good communications skills and ability to liaise at all levels.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

  • Ability to travel around the UK (primarily) as required.
