Area Sales Manager – Cubicles & Lockers

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Cubicles / Lockers / Washrooms

Industry Sector: Cubicles, Toilets, Washrooms, Lockers, Vanity Systems, Sanitaryware, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, End Users, Builders, Architects, Specifiers, Leisure Operators, Surveyors

Area to be covered: South East & Anglia

Remuneration: £45,000 - £50,000neg (depending on exp) + Commission giving OTE £60,000+

The role of the Business Development Manager – Cubicles / Lockers / Washrooms will involve:

·         Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of supply only cubicles, lockers, vanity units and access panels

·         70% of your time will be spent selling to / closing deals with main and sub-contractors or fit out / joiner contractors

·         Remaining 30% of your time will be spent generating / influencing specification via architects, leisure operators, end users and specifiers

·         Dealing with typical project values of just £20k - £150k

·         Majority

·         Achieving sales targets set by Managing Director, such as; number of projects in project bank and number of enquiries received

·         Represent the company at trade shows, events and conduct company CPD presentations to clients

·         Being aware of competitors products and activities including new products, strategies and marketing campaigns

·         Occasional nights out with clients and colleagues, sometimes up to once a week in some cases

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager – Cubicles / Lockers / Washrooms with:

·         Must have experience in construction field sales selling a related product with a similar route to market

·         Must have experience selling to main and sub-contractors or fit out / joiner contractors

·         Must have experience in specification sales processes with architects, leisure operators, end users and specifiers

·         Ideally have a contact list of main contractors and sub-contractors

·         Technical aptitude for architectural detail, estimating and selling via a technical solution basis

·         Strong negotiation experience and ability to deal with contractual procedures and responsibilities

·         Excellent influencing and communication skills; well-spoken and personable; able to get on with diverse personalities

·         Strong analytical, negotiating and decision making abilities

·         Results orientated, hungry, personable and enthusiastic
