Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager/ Field Sales Executive, required for a company who are one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of specialist commercial and industrial steel  doors.  Supplying doors to the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, warehouses, factories, distribution centres, shops and many other locations requiring a controlled, hygienic or secure environment.

Salary of circa £35k – 40k basic + company car and other benefits, mobile, laptop, pension, healthcare.

 

Covering; North This area would encompass primarily North West, North East and Scotland. Ideal location could be Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle.

Job description: 

 Business Development Manager/Area Sales Manager /  Field Sales Executive, required for a company who are one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of specialist commercial and industrial steel  doors.  Supplying doors to the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, warehouses, factories, distribution centres, shops and many other locations requiring a controlled, hygienic or secure environment.

As the Regional BDM your role will be to develop and manage new business opportunities. You will be responsible for growing your allocated area as well as managing and retaining the existing client base.

 

Objectives:

 

·         Accountable for the Identification of new sales opportunities.

·         Convert these into margin generating business to agreed targets.

·         Secure new business and develop new sales opportunities with new clients

·         Build strong long-term relationships with new customers.

·         Identify key influencers and decision makers within potential client businesses.

·         Record all customer interactions and activities within the CRM.

·         Responding to customers’ requests and tender opportunities.

·         Delivery against the sales strategy and sales targets for the region.

 

Skills / Experience;

 

Key Skills:

 

·         A solid sales background. Minimum 2 years Field Sales / BDM experience.

·         Good cold calling skills.

·         Sound judgement and good business sense.

·         Commercial Awareness.

·         Ability to work alone in a conscientious manner and show structure in your work.

·         The ability to build relationships with clients quickly.

·         Analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Resilience and tenacity.

·         Independence.

·         A full driving licences.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

 

·         Knowledge of the Industrial door market is desirable.

·         2 years Field sales / BDM experience as a minimum.

·         Commercial and contractual experience.

 

Performance Measures:   

 

·         Number of self-generated sales orders and quotations.

·         Introduction of new customers.

·         Revenue growth by area.

·         CRM compliance.
