Area Sales Manager – Boilers / Plumbing & Heating

Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Boilers / Plumbing & Heating

Area to be covered: South Coast including Berkshire & Oxfordshire                            

Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000neg (depending on experience) + 15% bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Boilers / Plumbing & Heating will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a high quality manufactured range of water heating systems such as boilers, renewables, heat pumps, cylinders, biomass boilers and air heaters
  • 70% of your time will be spent selling directly and stimulating demand with plumbing & heating installers and contractors
  • The remaining 30% of your time will be spent selling into plumbing & heating independent and national merchants
  • Taking over approximately 250/300 live plumbing & heating installer and contractor accounts and 100/150 plumbing & heating national and independent merchants
  • Taking over an area currently achieving target
  • There will be a 50/50 spilt between account management and new business relationships
  • Tasked with growing the territory significantly working in conjunction with sales team and Sales Director

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Boilers / Plumbing & Heating with:

·         Must have experience selling a plumbing & heating associated product into installers and contractors (would consider somebody working in a plumbers merchant that has sold to installers and contractors)

·         Ideally worked for a manufacturer and sold to plumbing contractors / installers

·         Stable career history

·         Specific knowledge of boilers is not required, our client is happy to consider allied industry experience such as heating controls, water heating systems, chemicals, heating, plumbing, sanitaryware, pipes, fittings, water heaters etc.

·         Proven track record in field sales and territory management

·         Good solid work ethic and ‘get up and go’

·         Trustworthy and self motivated

·         Enthusiastic and hungry
