An established independent plumbing and heating merchant in the South East are currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to grow their business across Sussex and West Kent.
Key responsibilities of the role include: - Implementing a profitable sales strategy to increase customer spend across the area - Growing the number of key account customers within the area - Increasing spend among customers with a reduced or low spend buying pattern - Actively promoting key products and achieving incremental sales growth across these products - Contributing new ideas and ways of expanding the current business platform
The ideal candidate will need to have significant experience of the plumbing and heating industry and ideally have worked in a similar role with either a supplier or merchant previously.
The successful candidate will possess excellent selling and negotiation skills, be commercially astute and will be able to clearly measure and demonstrate success.
