Area Sales Manager – South of the UK/M4 Corridor – Competitive Salary & OTE, Company Car & Benefits

The Role

Are you a strong sales person with outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and exceptional communication skills? Are you self-motivated, enthusiastic and got the tenacity to win business and close deals? You might be exactly what Abtech are looking for!  

As an Area Sales Manager you will be a main point of contact and will be reporting to the Managing Director as well as working closely with the internal Sales team and Production team to achieve your targets. Have you got what it takes?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and increase sales of Abtech products and build key customer relationships
  • Identify business opportunities and negotiate and close business deals, whilst maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Work with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and advise them on solutions and services that meet or predict their future needs
  • Provide first class customer service by responding to all customer enquiries professionally and within the agreed timescales

Abtech has been involved in the Oil & Gas market since the 1970s. Since then, they have developed a range of products ideally suited to the rigours of onshore and offshore operation. They are operating globally with their main manufacturing site being based in Sheffield in the UK and additional production facilities and sales/support offices in the USA, Germany, Netherlands, Korea and Singapore, along with a network of agents covering over 40 countries worldwide.

Abtech’s main goal is to be the first-choice supplier of electrical connection and lighting products worldwide and are well on the way to achieving it.  

The Person

The key skills and responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager:

  • Strong knowledge of the electrical industry
  • Technical background and previous sales experience
  • Strong customer-facing skills with a confident approach
