We are seeking an experienced and passionate business development manager to recruit and engage fashion brands for Amazon Fashion across Europe.

Amazon Fashion is building the future of online retail innovation. The Senior Business Development Manager will advocate internally and externally on behalf of Amazon, with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively and multi-task. This role requires a proven record of driving category or sub-category growth, and building strong business relationships with C-level executives at top brands. The Senior Business Development Manager must be an effective communicator and negotiator in working with some of Amazon’s most important future vendors as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional leaders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment to deliver results. You should be comfortable with high level of ambiguity.

As a customer-obsessed fashion enthusiast, you will influence and build relationships with brands from commercial negotiations to operational training. You are deep on retail trends and understand how to build successful strategies to develop retail and online. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to influence a diverse set of senior stakeholders across multiple teams within Amazon and at vendors as well as strong financial and analytical skills to build business plans.

Using your deep knowledge of retail and fashion and a solution-oriented mindset, you will develop opportunities for Amazon within the fashion segment. You are an excellent oral and written communicator and you possess an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions. You are highly organized and have the ability to work closely and constructively with cross-functional teams, with the ability to be creative and develop new solutions. You are particularly adept at developing strong, one-to-one relationships and possess a proven record of successful negotiation and project management. You’re able to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. You can can operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes.

This international role involves regular travel for trade shows and meetings with brands across Europe, once travelling restrictions driven by COVID are fully relaxed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree
· Extensive experience in senior roles in retail, operations, and/or business management/consulting with a proven track record of delivering results
· Experience in vendor management and negotiations with C-level stakeholders
· Experience in driving strategic and complex projects across a wide range of teams
· Outstanding financial and analytical skills
· Highly polished communication skills in English (written and verbal)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Functional experience in Retail in any of the categories Apparel, Shoes, Jewelry, Watches, Luggage
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or Management
· MBA with relevant business experience
