A rare opportunity to join one of the world's leading publishing/news business has arisen. They are looking for a Advertising Account Manager to work across a large part of their portfolio

Client Details

My client is one of the largest publishing business in the UK with around 40 titles in their portfolio. They currently have a maternity cover role open within one of their key teams. This role will see you being put in charge of their media sales for a large proportion of their portfolio. You will need to have a background within Media account management and ideally will have worked across a portfolio of titles.

Description

The role of a Advertising Account Manager will be to

  • Maximise revenue growth from your portfolio of accounts by driving volume, yield, and new product and revenue streams

  • Cross-market knowledge, with ability to lead a strategic pitch across different markets

  • Ability to secure brand partnerships

  • To account manage clients to a senior level, proactively servicing and developing strong relationships, by keeping clients up to date with TI initiatives and leading with new ideas

  • Maintaining and updating your industry knowledge in order to be seen as an expert in your field by your clients

  • Increase client base by proactively seeking new clients both core and non-core to market

  • Drive incremental revenue through the proactive development of new and innovative solutions

  • Proactively seek and develop briefs from core and non-client accounts

  • Initiate new events that engage new and existing clients to brand/market

Profile

The successful Advertising Account Manager will have

  • Background in a B2B sales or account management position

  • Success within B2B Advertising sales ideally within Magazine or Newspaper

  • Able to show evidence of relationship management/building

  • Experience of cultivating and closing sales, particularly over the telephone.

  • Customer-focused account handling experience

  • Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with clients, third parties, colleagues and senior management

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Experience using Excel (to a proficient standard)

  • Experience managing order pipelines and providing timely sales trackers

Job Offer

The successful Advertising Account Manager will receive

  • Basic salary between £30,000 - £35,000 per year
  • 40% commission
  • 12 Month Contract opportunity to go perm
  • Fun team culture
  • Canary Wharf based
