An excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a finance team supporting a market leading recruitment and training company.

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum plus benefits incl Pension, Mobile Phone, BMS Rewards platform, 25 days holiday

Egham, Surrey

Permanent, full-time

You will need

  • Excellent all-round experience
  • Ideally studying AAT level 3 or higher although experience is more important than a qualification
  • Good communication and team working skills with a flexible and proactive mindset
  • Numerical and competent technically with good working knowledge of accounting entries and processes
  • Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise your work with an organised and logical approach
  • Strong attention to detail

The role

  • Purchase Ledger
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Calculation of staff bonus/commission
  • Employee/Directors expenses
  • P11Ds
  • Assisting month end close (journals, depreciation, accruals/prepayments, control account reconciliations)
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • VAT returns
  • Assist with year end
  • Manage POs, travel bookings
  • Pursue cost savings
  • Provide cover for members of the finance team
  • Ad hoc projects as and when they arise
