We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic field sales team in Gloucestershire, working with titles such as Gloucestershire Live, the Gloucestershire Echo and the Gloucester Citizen.
This is your chance to join one of the UK's largest media publishers, encompassing an award winning portfolio of 5 national titles, 130 regional titles and over 500 digital products.
If you have a real passion for building relationships with clients and seeking out new business, this could be the role for you...
We are Reach because it's what we do.
Every day our newsbrands - national and regional, in print and online - reach millions of people up and down the country. We are the UK's largest news publisher, with influential national newsbrands such as the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Sunday People, Daily Record, and more than 100 distinguished regional titles.
Our brands have a long heritage of being trusted sources of news and information, with our editorial conviction and high standards of journalism providing audiences with timely information and opinion across multiple platforms.
Last year we sold 620 million newspapers, with 5.8 million readers of one of our brands each month. Our network of over 70 websites provide 24/7 coverage of news, sport and showbiz stories, with 8.1 billion page views per year.
We average 21.5 million mobile visitors – that's 60% of the entire mobile market. Each month we attract over 32 million unique visitors. That’s more than our competitors. You will help us further increase our digital audience into 2019.
As a business we have diversified our commercial product range. We now offer everything from the traditional in print and online advertising to web build solutions, Google AdWords, social media management and much more.
Attending self generated appointments, you will be meeting customers to introduce our services and generating new revenues across Gloucestershire. You will acquire customers through an achievement of high conversion rates, by canvassing cold business opportunities and existing ad hoc clients. Building relationships with both new and existing clients, you will understand which suite of products and services is most appropriate to the client need. You will deliver clear and concise sales messages to build loyalty and delivering customer service remains a key priority. Ensuring a high standard of communication at all times, you will be expected to keep abreast of new product developments and present these to your client base.
You will receive four weeks intensive training and ongoing support to help you become successful in your role. Your hard work will be rewarded with a generous commission structure and opportunities to progress in the future.
The Ideal Candidate
This role is all about relationships; you’ll be a business partner as well as a marketing advisor, and a trusted provider rolled into one. You’ll need to build relationships quickly, ensuring your customers trust you to provide the best products for their needs. You will be a confident communicator, with the ability to explain unfamiliar concepts in a clear and concise way.
You’ll be working towards set targets, but we want someone who isn’t afraid to smash the glass ceiling. Why meet targets when you can exceed them? We want you to have a real passion and drive; for sales, for building revenue and a tenacity that will serve you well with your new and existing clients.
You’ll need to be flexible and adaptable; this business is ever changing, and there are always new developments in the world of publishing. You will need to stay on top of your game, continue to educate yourself and move with the ebb and flow of the business. You’ll have a full understanding of the digital landscape – your clients are relying on you to know your stuff and to handle their campaigns with professionalism and care.
You must also hold a full valid UK driving licence, as client visits will be a large part of your role day to day.
