Account Manager – Contracting

What you will do
Your role as Account Manager will actively drive new installation orders from within a defined geographic territory/across named accounts. You will focus your attention on our fire suppression solution portfolio, specifically focused on contractors and consultants. The role will be biased to securing new business installations, which will involve managing and creating new relationships alongside existing.

This is a new role at an exciting time of growth within JCI. Working with your sales manager you will create and manage strategic opportunity plans, where clear strategies are defined to create the best opportunity for JCI to secure targeted opportunities. It is therefore critical the candidate can define win themes and strongly present their value to diverse audiences, where value may hold different context. Estimating and design activities will typically be completed by the estimating teams, but the consultant is wholly responsible for the win plan and the positioning with the customer. You will be required to collaborate with the design team and build meaningful relationships, to ensure we present value engineered solutions.

How you will do it
As an Account Manager you will be able to function independently and be customer focused. You will understand your customer base and work to align their needs with our services. You will have the ability to build relationships that can develop and expand your portfolio. Your exceptional communication skills will help deliver a positive impression of JCI as we aim to grow and develop this area of our business. Through your previous sales experience and successful track record you will identify new customers and sales across your region.

What we look for

The successful candidate will have industry experience in the fire suppression market
A strong understanding of B2B sales within a Fire and Security environment
Strong communicator with a proven track record of developing sales within a commercial environment
Ability to manage and influence both internal & external stakeholders at all levels
Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
