About the role

We’re on the lookout for an Account Manager to join our team in Virgin Media Business (VMB), based in Scotland.

As the Account Manager, you will drive the strategic direction for a defined set of high net value accounts, with responsibility for leading the operational management and development of customer relationships with a view to delivering against the Vertical and Regional strategy for these customers.

You will be accountable for annualised revenue growth, through development of excellent, high level, sustainable customer relationships. Your collaboration is key, through the formation and management of virtual teams, whilst coaching / mentoring account managers, Sales Specialists and other key members of the team.

You’ll need to be customer focused; outcome led and have a solid understanding of both Public Sector and Enterprise Markets. A goal orientated individual with strong desire to drive change, a track record of being a strong communicator, with a consultative mind-set, and a team player will be key to success in this role.

At the heart of our business is how our customers feel about us. Customer excellence is measured in our Net Promoter Score (NPS) for which you will be accountable to ensure all colleagues and partners are driving towards our company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

*

Drive and deliver Revenue Growth, through Annual Contract Value, and other key performance indicators.

*

Co-creation and execution of strategic Account Development Plans and/or Regional Strategy plans, aligned with customer’s/regional strategy, objectives and key business outcomes.

*

Solution sales lead, offering thought leadership to our customers, aligning our propositions with their ICT and Communications strategy, including Next Generation Voice, Data, Cloud, Collaboration, UC and Security Services.

*

Demonstrating the ability to respond to customer challenges and needs with innovative solutions, which deliver mutual benefit.

*

Develop effective, multi-layer relationships including board level, with customers and internal business, demonstrating knowledge of their organisation, key objectives, drivers and decision-making process.

*

Have a full understanding of competitor insight and wider passion for working within the Technology environment.

*

Coach and lead your virtual team to drive standard methodology, sales plan execution, approach to problem solving, analytics.

*

Coach the internal virtual service organisation, to deliver world class customer service and exceed NPS objectives. Act as an ambassador both in the external market and within internal stakeholders, demonstrating best in class sales behaviour.

*

Manage CRM reporting via Salesforce.com pipeline creation and management, to ensure the correct level of focus is applied to each opportunity identified and forecast.

*

Construct business cases and justify CAPEX / OPEX spend & resource allocation whilst operating within published commercial and contractual guidelines, making effective use of escalation routes.

*

Take responsibility of own personal development and maintain Personal Development Plan.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be passionate about technology and transforming organisations through market disruption and Digital Transformation. You’ll be a strong communicator and influencer with strong collaboration across the internal/external business, up to and including board level. You’ll need to showcase outstanding sales and account leadership experience, with the ability to prioritise and accurately manage multiple projects at one time. We’ll be looking for your ability to drive new business through existing and emerging technologies, with the understanding of new product developments, the significance of capturing market transitions early and the ability to align with customer outcomes. It’s key that you can showcase proven strong commercial acumen, with the ability to articulate solutions to customers in a way that aligns with their business and financial objectives.

Extensive proven experience in a consulting-led sales role

*

Proven experience of managing a virtual team in a Business to Business sales environment

*

Proven experience and knowledge of the current Communications & IT industries

*

Must be fully computer literate and be able to learn new systems and processes quickly

*

Proven experience of successfully navigating and working in complex environments
