Account Manager - Automotive, London


The Marketing Effectiveness (MEFF) team plays a pivotal role in helping clients ensure every pound they spend works for them and returns. We do this by providing a mix of data-led models, software solutions and consultancy to ensure the client gets the results they need. We answer their key business questions to improve marketing performance, questions like What ROI does my marketing generate? How can I improve the return on my marketing? How should I optimize my marketing investment?


  • Selling the Nielsen Marketing Effectiveness portfolio of products within the Automotive sector. The services focus on providing syndicated and custom services to a selection of Automotive companies and provide certain consulting.
  • Developing a healthy business pipeline that can deliver sales.
  • Managing key clients as defined by your manager.
  • Employing a consultative sales approach to understanding and creatively answer clients' key business questions.
  • Attaining sales target provided. These will be a combination of new business and existing client contracts.
  • Updating Salesforce & Pipeline contact management regularly with client contact, sales pipeline and new business development pipeline. This will be used for forecasting by the management team.
  • Adding value to the client's business by providing insight that represents all of Nielsen's capabilities, with the aim of increasing revenue opportunities from the client base.


  • Previous experience in account/sales/client development roles
  • Previous experience in cooperating with the Automotive sector - nice to have
  • Knowledge of the Media industry and how it operates
  • Good sales, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data in a challenging and insightful manner
  • Problem-solving- and solutions-oriented attitude
  • Proficiency in using Google/Microsoft Office tools especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strategic selling and high performance
  • Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, and ability to work independently
  • Excellent revenue forecasting skills
  • Strong Business English knowledge, both verbal and written
