Harvey McQueen are looking for Account Managers to help maintain and deliver growth in the IT Services division of one of our growing clients based in Manchester. 

As an Account Manager within you will work within the core sales division and be responsible for selling the full range of services provided by the Services division to your customers.

Your core focus is to gain revenue growth through predominantly existing clients, focusing on building long-term, sustainable relationships. As an Account Manager you will be a senior sales person and it is likely you will specialise in a geography or vertical market in order to increase your knowledge and improve your skill-set.

Key responsibilities

The Role

  • Develop account plans to ensure revenue growth within your account base and maximise opportunities
  • Work alongside the technology partner team in order to develop opportunities and improve close periods
  • Over achieve against a defined set of targets and KPI’s and proactively report accurate revenue forecasts to your line manager
  • Work with the technical and operations team in order to ensure we provide excellent service to our customers
  • Build long term, sustainable, relationships with our clients in order to support revenue growth for the Services division
  • Utilise our marketing resource to enhance engagement with your portfolio
  • Proactively manage up to 80 accounts



  • Experience in dealing with business customers and a track record of driving new business revenue through customer relationships
  • A confident, clear and concise telephone manner
  • Have a strong hold of a number of vertical markets, perhaps with holding specialism within one specific
  • Able to effectively write and structure an email with view to developing opportunities and building relationships
  • Capable of gaining an understanding of a client's business case and articulating the value of our services to their business
  • Capable of completing face to face meetings and presenting propositions in a professional, effective manner 


  • Ability to communicate and network through organisations
  • Resilient and hardworking, always seeking to improve and learn
  • Proactive in seeking guidance through peers and management
  • Lead by example within the division


  • Knowledge and understanding of the technology and software industry
  •  An understanding of the  market
  •  Abreast of competition and products
  • Should have experience of mapping an account and showing account growth
  • Complete all accreditations to a minimum standard of gold
  • Good business acumen


  • The ability to build proposals and provide customer satisfaction
  • Regular reporting on key business metrics through quarterly presentations to senior management
  • The ability to build business plans within accounts, and align goals and objectives consistent with corporate strategy
