A leading global tech and offices solutions business (household name) is looking for an account manager to join its sales team, looking after a key customer. On offer is a base salary of c £40,000 plus a £5000 car allowance and the ability to earn on target another £20,000 in commission (but commission is un capped).
This is a role that will be dedicated to one very important account. That account in turn is another house hold name business and the role will work between the employer’s office aswell as the account’s offices (which are spread across West London, Reading, Hampshire and one near Manchester). Applicants therefore should apply being able to work from a central London office, aswell as being able to regularly work from client sites in Hampshire and Reading (with occasional trips to Manchester and international offices). It is expected that after product training and induction, most of your time will be spent in Reading and Hampshire.
The role will be asked to maintain and deepen relationships, increasing account spend whilst also developing product usage across the accounts various business streams. Furthermore, the role will be tasked with cross selling the businesses other services, up selling and exploring new opportunities always.
To apply to this role, you should have account management experience which has included the management and development of large spend, key accounts. You should have well developed account management skills and you should be able to demonstrate and describe your processes and 'toolkit’ for managing and growing accounts. It would be beneficial if you have experience from IT / Tech or office solutions orientated businesses, but this is not essential.
You should be a confident communicator who has well developed relationship building and presentation skills. You should have strong commercial acumen and posses well developed analytical and IT skills.
