My company is leading membership body focused on Pensions and financial investment and has over 400 members. They are currently looking for a new member of their commercial and business development team to come on board and help them towards there 2019 targets.

My client is leading membership body focused on Pensions and financial investment and has over 400 active members. They aim to ensure people use their money and investment in the best way possible and work to make sure voices are heard within government to ensure legislation is made with the best interests of members and the wider public.

The Account manager will be responsible for

  • Make a significant contribution towards the achievement of the annual commercial sales target of around £5.5m per year.

  • To generate targeted sales from campaigns around the products/ services/ membership acquisitions either by telephone or in person

  • To build and maintain effective relationships with key commercial customers with the aim of ensuring there is a solid base of commercial support for commercial activities.

  • To contribute towards the assessment and analysis of new development opportunities and the design and delivery of any commercial implementation plans.

  • To work with the Director of Business Development to develop and deliver a systematic delivery plan for commercial customer retention and acquisition, that uses the appropriate sales channels. This will include exploiting cross-selling opportunities, data-driven sales and utilising the appropriate customer contact channels.

  • To contribute towards the generation of robust and clear sales and pipeline data/ information along with projections against product/ service specific and annual sales targets.


The successful Account Manager will have the following skills and background

  • Strong background within a commercial account management position

  • Able to show clear result in terms of revenue generation and client retention

  • Ability to exceed targets and works well within a targeted environment

  • Has a strong understanding of the membership sector, ideally has worked in a membership organisation

  • Able to use data to drive sales and find new opportunity's

  • Has an understanding or background within pensions or investments (desirable)

  • Able to work well within a small team environment

  • Able to commit to a 9 month contract with a start date around November

Job Offer

The successful Account Manager will receive

  • Salary between £40,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience

  • Uncapped commission available

  • Based in the City of London, near to Liverpool Street

  • 9 Month Contract - potential to extend
