This well established, award winning and highly successful UK based IT Services organisation designs, deploys and supports cyber-security, infrastructure management and unified communication solutions from it’s Tier 3 NOC &  SOC  and two other UK offices.


The Account Manager will manage, and continue to build their sales portfolio,  and will have responsibility for their clearly defined and very attainable sales targets.


The successful candidate will be at the forefront in helping drive the company forwards, and also create for themselves the rare opportunity to propel their own career to a place they would very rarely find elsewhere. The broad scope of the role for the Account Manager will revolve around:


  • Work with the Sales Manager on an allocated number of existing client  accounts.
  • Use strong sales and relationship management skills to identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell new products & solutions into the allocated accounts
  • Assertively develop identified opportunities into closed sales in a timely and professional manner
  • Protect the existing revenue within the allocated accounts and renew existing service lines in a timely manner
  • Use strong closing skills to maximise the win rate
  • Ensure the Sales Contract and appropriate information for successful delivery are agreed with the client
  • Keep the CRM up to date with key information on clients and opportunities
  • Deliver to agreed GM targets, objectives and to the sales strategy
  • ·         Engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders within Comtact, Partners and 3rd party suppliers to leverage leads and to craft solutions to client issues
    • Plan the best use of time and resources to maximise sales
    • Work closely with the operational delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction


  • Build strong, professional client relationships at all levels
  • Create, identify and progress appropriate opportunities within the allocated accounts
  • Maintain the CRM system with all conversations, opportunities, visits, initiatives, quotes and proposals. Ensure that all key contacts managed on the system
  • Use all available Comtact resources to provide realistic, detailed concise industry/product information, proposals, costings, quotes and implementation plans
  • Accurately report on sales pipeline including action plans for any areas of underperformance, including:
    • Monthly sales forecasts
    • Appropriate KPI’s through the sales process
  • Build and maintain relationships with key 3rd party suppliers
  • Ensure all closed deals are invoiced, tracked and paid promptly
  • Ensure all necessary information is captured in the CRM system to allow for Operations to deliver “right first time” projects that delight the customer
  • Carry out other tasks as directed by the Sales Director


  • Proven, extensive experience and success in IT Account Management sales working with multiple product and solution sets
  • A good understanding of mainstream IT technologies ideally including communications, networking and security solutions
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills including at senior levels
  • Able to achieve GM targets by identifying, developing and closing deals
  • Comfortable working with multiple opportunities and clients simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
