The Company is the peer to peer Board Community for CEOs, c-suite executives and global leadership teams. They have over 13 years' experience transforming senior executives and their boards. Whether they are looking for individual support or a solution designed to align the executive team and drive strategic goals, their aim is to inspire leaders to be successful.

They are currently looking to appoint an Account Director, who will be responsible for developing strategic, proactive relationships with potential sponsors and corporate partners for the Companies' annual programme of events and activities. These include world-leading advisory firms, consultancies and financial institutions.

The Account Director is responsible for seeking out and closing new business opportunities through active prospecting, networking and utilising business referrals both within new and existing accounts. With a genuine interest in business, the successful candidate will be intellectually curious, have the gravitas to speak credibly at the C-Suite level within large corporates and have a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate, qualify and close new sponsorship opportunities within your target set of accounts
  • Negotiate and close business while managing the client relationship throughout the sales and implementation process
  • Develop, grow and retain relationships within each Account ensuring regular face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails
  • Understand clients' buying processes and proactively identify opportunities to upscale existing Accounts, initiating actions to take advantage of them
  • Prepare and present year-long campaigns of activity to each Account which are in-line with their relationship marketing objectives that are mutually beneficial to Members
  • Chair events and conference calls to support relationship development within key Accounts

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years' experience in an Account Director role or similar (with a preference for selling and renewing conference sponsorships)
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Advanced commercial negotiation and networking skills
  • Demonstrated experience building credibility with a senior-level client base
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence at board level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated and outcomes focused
