About the role

We’re on the lookout for an established Account Director, to drive the strategic direction for a defined set of high net value accounts, within our Regional Public Sector structure, with accountability for annualised revenue growth, through development of high level, sustainable customer relationships.

As the Account Director, you will be responsible for leading the operational management and development of customer relationships within our regional Public Sector teams, with a view to delivering against the Vertical and Regional strategy for these customers. You will be collaborating, through the formation and management of virtual teams, whilst coaching and mentoring account managers, Sales Specialists and other key members.

The successful candidate will optimise revenue growth, across the VMB solutions portfolio, with a clear focus on driving new business and elevating C-Level strategic relationships, through clear alignment of our offerings with the customer’s Digital aspirations and associated business outcomes.

We will need you to be customer focused, outcome led and have a deep understanding of Public Sector market, including those economic and social pressures affecting the Health and Social Care, Devolved / Local Government and Justice verticals, whilst recognising the importance of Social Value and how this is can support the sector. A goal orientated individual with strong desire to drive change, will excel in this position and you’ll need to showcase a track record of being a strong communicator, with a consultative mind-set, and a team player will be key to succeed in this role. Customer excellence is measured in our Net Promoter Score (NPS) for which the Account Director will be accountable to ensure all colleagues and partners are driving towards our North Star.

Skillset Required:

* Extensive experience in a Public Sector consulting-led senior sales role
* Passionate about technology and the opportunity to transform Public Sector organisations through market disruption and Digital Transformation
* Experience managing a virtual team in a Business to Business sales environment
* Can confidently demonstrate knowledge of the current Communications & IT industries, specifically within Public Sector
* Experience of successfully navigating and working in complex environments
* Strong communicator across customer and executive level, demonstrating knowledge of their organisation, key objectives, drivers and decision making process
* Ability to drive new business through existing and emerging technologies, with proven, outstanding sales and account leadership experience
* Experience of leading virtual teams, from an operational level, coach the team to drive standard methodology, sales plan execution, approach to problem solving, analytics
* Solution sales orientated, offering thought leadership to our Public Sector customers, aligning our propositions with their ICT and Communications strategy, including Next Generation Voice, Data, Cloud, Collaboration, UC and Security Services
* Able to prioritise and accurately manage multiple projects, with a high degree of collaboration
* Beneficial to have knowledge of Cloud based products and experience of taking customers from on prem to the Cloud
