Account Director

Due to the continued growth and development of our client's relationships in the healthcare sector, they are looking for a talented, dynamic, and ambitious individual to join them as an Account Director to work with NHS Supply Chain.

You will join an experienced yet newly formed team which gives an exciting opportunity to help shape this sector, taking overall accountability for delivering the commercial aspects of the account, whilst having an understanding of the operational challenges that their clients face with their supply chain logistics.

Account Director Responsibilities:

Identifying breakthrough initiatives and projects that grow the account, reduce costs, and improve the customer experience, whilst ensuring that the client retains competitive advantage through its operations and services will be the primary focus of your role.

You will ensure the client budget is achieved, lead contractual negotiations, ensure that plans to maintain profitability through the life of the contract whilst meeting the client’s needs to reduce costs are in place, and will lead the optimisation of mutual financial benefit through innovation and driving continuous improvement.

Delivering the Partnership Vision is critical. You will need to understand deeply, at a strategic level, the customers' business and potential opportunities to develop the relationship and validate the client’s perception of the value of the relationship with our client. They want you to be the guardian of the client’s long term interests, with a continued focus on the creation of commercial propositions aimed at fundamentally improving the end customer experience. You will lead and engender a culture of open communication, personal responsibility, and accountability in all those employed across the account.

Account Director Requirements:

It is preferable that you have a background in the field of healthcare logistics. More importantly however, you will demonstrate your talent and intelligence - they are looking for a future senior leader and this role offers the opportunity to join our client and really make an impact. You will have supply chain credibility - likely gained in a 3PL environment, and experience of developing Accounts at a strategic level - demonstrating a deep understanding of the customers’ business, and your ability to develop client relationships and validate their perception of the value of a relationship with them.
