The Account Development Manager is a critical role that reports directly into the Director of the business unit. The position will be responsible for the management and development of 15 high profile 'blue chip' customers. Account management and business development will go hand in hand through effective relationship building and consultative cross selling of services. This key account manager will regularly meet with their portfolio customers to understand contract performance and the commercial opportunities for growth of each account. The candidate therefore will possess exemplary communication skills and have the ability to deliver presentations to high profile audiences. The sales ability of the Account Development Manager will have been honed in a consultative environment with exposure to large, corporate companies. The ability to work in partnership with such customers is more important the industry from which the candidate has experience within. Experience of warehouse systems, automated distribution centres or the logistics sector could be advantageous. The role will be based from home and cover the southern region of the UK market.
