Established in the 1960's, this global, market leading international logistics company, who currently employ in excess of 300,000 people worldwide, are looking to recruit 3 Business Development Managers in the UK.
Through a structured and professional sales management process you will be responsible for identifying and managing a new/development business pipeline, which will generate profitable incremental business opportunities ensuring the growth objectives and targets of the BDM sales channel are met. These opportunities are working within 1 of 4 sales channels.
Your responsibilities will include the sourcing of new business opportunities, presentations to key decision makers within the targeted organizations, generation of professional and comprehensive proposals and implementation of successful new business in line with the proposal and the companies operating and commercial procedures, to ensuring total customer satisfaction. Preparation of quality reports and your personal performance relative to target and budget will be required for submission to the senior management.
You will need to have 5+ years relevant business selling/management experience and a proven successful track record in business acquisition. A full commercial awareness and understanding of a P&L is vital. You must also have several years experience in the logistics/freight/carrier industry.
