Job Content:
The Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new sales and managing new and existing client accounts.
Responsibilities will include:
· Designing new business development strategies
· Cold lead generation
· Initiating contact from client prospects
· Identification and development of new sales opportunities
· Meeting with potential new clients to educate, sell, negotiate
· Management and development of new and existing client accounts & relationships
· Build & manage top class sales team
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate’s qualities will include but not be limited to the following:
Background / Skills:
· Proven experience in a senior sales or business development role
· Experience of selling high level information or service solutions to senior management and board level
· Experience in establishing new opportunities, generating leads, initiating contact and driving the engagement to a close
· Experience of developing existing business accounts and development of long-term relationships
· Experience of selling within or to one or more of the below sectors will be a distinct advantage:
o Research
o Hotel & hospitality
o Entertainment & leisure
o Retail & food/drink
o Transport & travel
o Councils and public services
Personal Qualities:
· Dynamic, self-motivated and able to work to own initiative
· Strong attention to detail and process management skills
· Aptitude for building strong external relationships
· Able to work under pressure, solve problems creatively and meet targets
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
