Job Description

Our client originated in Scotland over 50 years ago and now has circa 300 shops throughout Great Britain. Their roots are embedded in the distribution and handling of frozen foods, firmly believing in the benefits of frozen food and taking great care to bring its customers a wide range of frozen foods at the best price and quality.

They have a vacancy for an Area manager for the Tyne-Tees area to be responsible for circa 13 stores, reporting directly to the Regional Manager.

The Area Manager will be be responsible for the recruitment and management of an effective management team in each of the region's branches, ensuring optimum customer service at all times whilst keeping wages, shrinkage, repairs and other branch costs with the agreed budget.

The role requires an individual who will bring relevant retail store management ideally in grocery or food retail and will be ideally suited to an individual who has managed either a smaller regional role or larger store management ready to now step up into an wider area manager's role. Although food retail is not essential the role requires the synergy of pace in a similar FMCG retail arena and will best suit a strong and high energy leader.

The role will provide a substantial platform for progression within the Group for the successful candidate.
