Job Description

Reporting to the MD, this role will see you responsible for developing new business across all segments of my client's marketplace. This is a high profile role within the company and requires an outstanding candidate to successfully develop this opportunity.
The Business Development Director will:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic business plan, achieving revenue, market share and profit objectives within the Corporate Team.
- Using best practice sales methodologies and processes; identify, qualify, develop, manage and close sales opportunities within the Corporate Market.
- Manage a team of two Account Managers and three Sales Managers.
- Manage key regional accounts.
- Provide innovative quality solutions that satisfy and exceed client's needs and expectations.
- Conduct workshops and sales calls, network within the key industry sectors, prepare proposals and manage negotiations.
- Identify buying influences and develop contacts at the highest levels within target organizations.
- Increase awareness of the Company's products and services through conferences and symposiums.

Applications are invited from talented sales professionals with a proven track record of key account management at senior management/board level. Experience from a business-to-business environment and/or a service sectors e.g. Pharmaceutical Marketing, Healthcare Communications Insurance, IT, Financial services will be of most interest to my client.

In addition:
The ability to develop and maintain profitable relationships at the highest level and the ability to influence senior decision makers are essential in this role.
First class communication and leadership skills are needed, and you will need to provide others with a clear direction; Set appropriate standards of behaviour; Delegate work appropriately and fairly; Motivate and empower others; Provide staff with development opportunities and coaching and recruit staff of a high calibre.

Suitable applicants are likely to be educated at least to degree level, whilst an MBA would be the ideal.
