Bid & Tender Manager - Business Development (Private and Public Sectors)
Coventry
£33,000 - £40,000 Plus Pension, Childcare Voucher Scheme, 25 Days' Holiday

As a reputable Chamber of Commerce, our client is one of the regions most active membership-based business support and networking organisations. As the voice of local business, they represent both SMEs and larger corporate businesses. An opportunity has now arisen for a Bid & Tender Manager to join their team.

This is the ideal position for an ambitious candidate with proven bid and tendering experience to play a key role in the work of business development for the Chamber of Commerce. Our client is committed to the development and growth of large public and European funded contracts alongside private sector revenue streams.

As the Bid & Tender Manager you will be responsible for researching, identifying and prioritising tendering and bidding opportunities in both the public and private sectors, and completing the relevant documentation for winning the business. This role will involve working with the Chief Executive, the Business Development & Finance Director and senior management team in order to fully understand the business and match tendering and bidding opportunities.

Your duties will include:

- managing and co-ordinating the bid development and submission process
- preparing relevant bid documentation (tenders, presentations etc)
- achieving specific performance targets related to the number of proposals submitted and contracts won

To succeed in this position you must have previous bid and tendering experience, and a full working knowledge of both public and private sector tendering. You should also have the ability to develop attractive, creative and persuasive bid proposals, which respond to the key requirements of the contract opportunities.

Additionally, as the Bid & Tender Manager you must be highly numerate with strong analytical skills, and you should possess excellent writing and presentation skills. A good level of IT literacy is also essential.
