National Sales Manager Office Furniture Sales

JOB TITLE: National Sales Manager.
AREA: North West.
BASED: Home based on patch.
BASIC: £30K - £45K dependent on experience.
OTE: £60K - £70K uncapped.
BENEFITS: Company car (BMW or Mercedes type), 23 days holiday plus stats, pension, laptop and mobile.


THE ROLE

·If you are looking to be rewarded financially for your success then this is the ideal opportunity for you to work as a National Sales Manager selling office furniture and can offer bespoke solutions to their clients.
·The products that will be sold in this role include desking, seating, pedestals, storage, screens and other furniture related accessories.
·This company sells into two markets: public sector (mainly NHS, education, local councils, police- this is where the bulk of emergent's business comes from) and to the commercial sector (mainly office furniture dealers and catalogue companies although they do manufacture for other office furniture suppliers, some huge players such as Herman miller).
·In this role the National Sales Manager will be responsible for Sales throughout the company.
·Your team is made up of 6 field sales representatives, 6 internal telesales / customer support staff, 2 marketing officers, 1 interior designer, 1 space planner.
·The National Sales Manager will therefore be responsible to motivating, enthusing, guiding, supporting and accompanying (especially the field sales reps), disciplining and developing your sales staff.
·Your commission and targets are on the companies performance and are split between turnover and profitability.


THE COMPANY

·This company has been established for over 20 years.
·Their turnover increased from £5million in 2007 to £7.5million in 2008.
·This company has 5 national sites / factories.


KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·All applicants must have a proven track record in business to business field sales.
·Candidates must either be a "hands on" field sales manager or an industry related superstar!
·The successful applicant will have a motivated, organised, enthusiastic and direct personality.
·Applicants must have the ability to manage a large team of internal and external salespeople.
·Candidates must be able to motivate, direct, support and influence salespeople.
·Candidates who have public sector sales experience would be beneficial for this position.
·Candidates with tender experience will have the edge.
·Excellent presentation skills are required for this role.
·Candidates with a proven track record in gaining high value contracts are the ultimate ideal.
