North East based leading manufacturer of high specification plastics for diverse markets throughout the world.
Job Description
As a product manager, you will be required to understand and communicate all technical features of current products, as well as suggesting new product ranges based on market research and customer feedback. Currently, the client manufactures standard products for OEM markets, which are sold through distributors, as well as bespoke equipment, which is sold directly to end users. The role will require the identification of potential markets and customers, defining how they may be reached and using this assessment to approach the target markets with the aim of increasing sales. To enable this, the Product Manager will be required to undertake market research, to identify and establish a customer base and to promote products accordingly.
Candidate Description
Due to the technical nature of the role, the candidate will need to have a degree (or similar) in chemistry or chemical engineering. A sound commercial understanding is also required in order to identify new opportunities for increasing market share, throughout distributor and end user markets. The right candidate will have the proven ability to build relationships with OEM's and increase sales across all channels.
