An exciting, challenging and varied trainee territory management role in the competitive, fast moving medical devices industry

This company is internationally renowned for the manufacture and provision of medical instruments and devices.

Innovators in the design, manufacture and provision of endoscopic equipment for both human and veterinary medicine, their extensive product range includes rigid and flexible endoscopes - instruments for the entire field of human medicine and for the growing area of veterinary medicine. Their endoscopes are used in all areas of surgery and surgical exploration – it enables surgeons to operate with minimum invasion and trauma to the patient, which vastly reduces the risk of infection and encourages rapid recovery.

As a Trainee, your role will be to work with and support the established Account Managers within your territory, helping to promote the company’s range of minimally invasive equipment into the NHS and Private sectors and nurturing, developing and maintaining the profile of the company by attending meetings, exhibitions and workshops, locally and nationally.

As you will be communicating with a wide range of people, such as surgeons, surgical nurses and consultants, you must be consultative and flexible in your approach and a good listener. You will be working in surgery, training the surgical teams on how to use the range of endoscopic equipment so you must be calm under pressure, confident in your ability and certainly not squeamish!

The trainee role is the company’s Account Management team breeding ground – it will give you the experience, knowledge and confidence to take on an Account Management role and a (smaller) territory of your own. As a more senior vacancy becomes available, (and assuming you are ready for it) you will be offered the opportunity to take it.

Locations: Trainees for North and South of England, and a more senior role in Scotland (you will need 1 year's experience selling medical devices for the Scotland role)
